HyperLan-Pack
High speed wireless Ethernet backhaul

Product Sheet

HyperLan-Pack is a solution to establish a high speed Ethernet wireless link between buildings, factories, CCTV cameras, offshore platforms and temporary installations ... to connect Ethernet networks or Ethernet devices between each other.

HyperLan-Pack is available in two versions: long range (up to 5 Km) and medium distance (up to 1.5 Km) at 40 Mbps. Range increase significantly (up to 50 Km) if data rate is reduced to 10 Mbps.

The kit is built around two WiFi units and two parabolic antennas, installation is very easy as described below:

Antenna height calculation depending on distance and land topography
    Antenna mounting on masts
Antenna tilt calculation using ACKSYS software and a GPS
Antenna vertical alignment according to calculated tilts using a clinometer
Antenna horizontal alignment using a compass
Ethernet cable connexion on each unit
Radio quality and sustained data rate checking

Installation is now complete, your wireless Ethernet link is established and your network connection is ready to use.

HyperLan-Pack relies on the WiFi 5.3 GHz standard (IEEE 802.11a) which is not widely used by WiFi equipments. This offers a good level of protection against perturbations generated by existing WiFi networks; moreover, the RF radiated beam is narrow (few degrees) so it's almost undetectable.

The radio link between the two units of the Ethernet Air-Pack is secured by the WPA2-PSK authentication and encryption method.

Each unit features a 10/100 Base TX auto-sensing, auto MDI/MDIX cross-over RJ45 network interface, maxium TCP data throughput is 40 Mbps.

HyperLan-Pack is powered from the Ethernet cable (IEEE 802.3af), it can also be powered from a DC source (+9VDC to +75VDC) for a 7W typical consumption.
