Veritape and nuBridges join to improve call centre data security and reduce PCI DSS scope

At the recent PCI SSC European Community Meeting in Barcelona (October 19 2010) we were very pleased to announce our partnership with nuBridges and the integration of CallGuard into announce our partnership with nuBridges and the integration of CallGuard into nuBridges Protect™ Token Manager. This new development adds an extra level of data security protection to the CallGuard technology and is another example of our commitment to finding new ways to help contact centres improve data security and customer service.

Our CallGuard technology is a simple, low cost way of providing PCI compliance to any call recording system and has been enthusiastically welcomed by all our customers and their clients for its ease of use and speed of implementation.

As part of our ongoing work with nuBridges and our joint customers, it became clear that integrating CallGuard into nuBridges Protect™ Token Manager would provide the next layer of data security for both Veritape’s and nuBridges’ customers. This integration allows call centres that use CallGuard to accept credit card numbers over the phone, then instantly tokenise the numbers and insert the tokens into the various business applications they use. This way, order entry and processing applications are taken out of scope for PCI DSS compliance and audits, and both cardholders and companies are better protected against data fraud.

For larger call centres in some markets, introducing this innovative audio tokenisation technology could also mean the additional benefit of securing them lower charges with their banks as they can clearly demonstrate that they are operating a fully PCI compliant environment.

As with all Veritape’s products, our customers’ existing systems remain unchanged. And as all the integration work with nuBridges has been done by Veritape already, no further integration is required by our customers.

Joining forces with nuBridges has led to this exciting new development which offers call centres the opportunity to further improve their data security and reduce the scope and cost of PCI compliance.
