Handset Based Console

By combining the functionality of the traditional radio console and telephone handset, the HBC frees up valuable dashboard space in today’s congested emergency vehicles. The HBC can coexist with legacy analogue equipment on the vehicles’ dashboard, allowing users to retain and operate on their old analogue radio network in areas where TETRA is still being rolled out. Organisations adopting the HBC appreciate the advantage of parallel installations as they are able to deploy their fleet with minimum disruption and enjoy the deriving financial benefits.

Application Interface Unit

The Application Interface Unit performs all the audio, PEI and digital I/O access functions of the console but has no user interface. The removal of the display and keypad means the AIU is a light, compact unit requiring minimal installation space.

GPS Antenna

This active GPS antenna, with 3 metres of coaxial cable, is fitted with a male SMC connector to connect to a transceiver fitted with the internal GPS receiver. The antenna is fixed to the vehicle roof magnetically. If a panel mount GPS antenna is required then this can be purchased from a third party electronics supplier.

Combined Aerial

It is possible to order the mobile and gateway radio products with an optional integrated GPS module. When ordering the GPS Kit, it is necessary to order the GPS antenna, supplied complete with cable and connector.

Low-Profile Loudspeaker

A low-profile loudspeaker styled for car installations.

Marine Kit

The Marine Kit provides a fully integrated waterproof communication solution for fast response and rescue craft. The equipment is water tested to British Standard IP67 or IP68 and shown in the image below. The installation kit consists of rugged fibreglass, waterproof housings for the transceiver and the console. All console controls are extended using stainless steel spindles, making them fully accessible through a transparent polycarbonate fascia panel. Ranges of marine options are available from us allowing the customised solutions on a vessel-by-vessel basis. These include waterproof speakers, audio accessories, and TETRA and GPS marine antennas.

Console Fascia Kit

The DIN mounting bracket with guide holes that allows the console to be mounted neatly in the vehicle DIN slot.

Power Lead Assembly

The power lead assembly can be ordered as a separate part, in addition to the one supplied with all transceivers. The 12VDC power supply cables are 5m in length and supplied with in–line fuses and an ignition sensing wire. The loudspeaker interface is offered on a standard 2-pole connector and the 4 Input/Output lines are presented on free tails, typically for connection to one or more of the three external alarm inputs and external alarm output.

Desk-Mounting Kit

Allowing the console viewing angle to be securely adjusted when used in an office or control-room environment.
