Fargo was established in 1980 as a trading company in Hong Kong by two French partners. In 1994, Fargo entered the telecom field to provide quality control and sourcing of equipment for large European telecom manufacturers (e.g. Matra, ...).
Over the years the team has developed a strong expertise in wireless solutions for the M2M market. The first range of dedicated M2M solutions was launched in 2003 by Fargo Telecom division under the Fargo Maestro brand name.
In 2007, Maestro Wireless Solutions was formed as a separate entity under Fargo Telecom Holding in order to fully focus on designing and delivering state-of-the-art wireless products and services for the M2M market.
As of today, over 350 000 Maestro Wireless modems and Gateways have been deployed in more than 40 countries worldwide. Maestro Wireless solutions now offers an extensive range of 20 different modems especially developed for targeted vertical applications.
Maestro Wireless Solutions has become a market reference in terms of robustness and cost effectiveness with large scale development in harsh environment such as Russia, India and Southern Africa.
