The Alcatel Web Communication Assistant in OmniPCX Office is a lightweight messaging solution that gives access to your voice messages and e-mails using only a regular web browser. Accessible within the company as well as on the road, without any specific software installation, the Alcatel Web Communication Assistant is the ideal turnkey solution to meet your mobility needs.

On-site users are connected through the company local area network when off site users just need internet access to connect to the Alcatel OmniPCX Office to read email and listen to voice messages stored on the OmniPCX Office. Voice messages can be listened to on the user telephone set or downloaded to the PC.

The user can create, read , send, store, sort email in personal folders. The Web Communication Assistant allows the user to optimize email management by providing filtering rules to automatically organize or delete emails using information contained in the fields "from", "to", "subject" or string contained in the body text. This feature reduces email management time for users.

The new "nomadic mode"* allows the user to route his phone calls to any telephone set, including a mobile phone, home phone, hotel phone or Smart phone. Calls are seamlessly routed to the proper destination. If the user needs to make a call, he enters the number to be called and the system establishes 2 calls: one to the user's "nomadic" set and one to the called party.
